    Home Defense: AR vs. Shotgun

Picking a weapon for home protection is a genuine matter, and to the extent I'm concerned, a handgun ought to be a necessary piece of any home safeguard arrangement. Why? Not at all like a shotgun or an AR, handguns are anything but difficult to keep with you at all times. With a long weapon, you'll need to go bring it when the inflatable goes up. A handgun, be that as it may, does not constitute an exhaustive home guard arrangement. Handguns are close to home safeguard weapons, keeping in mind one might just be required amid a home assurance situation, if a long firearm is wielded with power and accuracy, the handgun will stay in its holster.

I would much rather have the shot gun. My thinking in this is that you want something you can keep close to you, but that you don't have to try to search for. If you have it near your bed, then you can get to it if someone is in the house. If you have a shotgun you won't have to worry about that. It can be near your bed or a little farther away and you will be able to get it and load it. I obviously wouldn't want to keep a loaded gun in my house, I mean anything could happen.

@johndz I have to agree with that. I would just want to make sure that it isn't loaded. My parents always had guns in the houses, but I just moved. Since my boyfriend and I just live in an apartment, we are stuck with just a bat since obviously we can't have a gun. I'm sure that we will once we move into a house.

I think that it's very smart to have a gun in your house. I mean if there is someone in your house, and they have a gun then you can defend your family. That's why I think it's so good to have one. The last thing that you want is to have something bad happen and you not be prepared.
